Suisun City has a waterfront character that sets it apart in Solano County. It has a historic downtown, a marina, and a connection to the surrounding Suisun Marsh. Its history as a shipping port still shows along Main Street, where there's historic architecture, restaurants and places to walk by the water.

The housing ranges from older properties near the historic downtown to established suburban neighborhoods with single-story and two-story homes. Much of it was built in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, in neighborhoods such as Dover Terrace and Heritage Park. There are also homes built before the 1960s, and a smaller selection of more recent construction.
Layout, lot size and updates vary from one home to the next, which gives buyers different options to explore and gives sellers a reason to understand exactly where their home sits in that range.
Getting outside
Outdoor recreation is a big part of the appeal. The marina and downtown waterfront give you access for boating and paddling. Nearby Rush Ranch has trails, marsh views and a look at local ranching history. The Western Railway Museum, along Highway 12 toward Rio Vista, is another nearby stop. Whether you like being on the water, exploring open space or spending an afternoon downtown, there are several ways to enjoy the area.
